My name is Lance and I’ve been coming to Western Youth Network for 3 years now. At WYN’s after school and summer camp I’ve gotten to try a lot of new things like being an emcee, hiking and eating new foods. I’ve learned a lot about math at WYN because things like ratios and measurements used to be really hard for me but aren’t so hard now. My favorite memory from WYN is swimming at Wildcat Lake on hot summer days.

Having a mentor with WYN is also really special. My mentor’s name is Michael and we’ve been matched for 2 years now. We have a lot in common so I really like hanging out with him. He gets me out of the house and takes me to neat new places.

I want to be a YouTube star when I’m older so it’s really cool that Michael knows a lot about videos and broadcasting. One time, he taught me about filming and let me be in a movie for App State.
